Freezable Slow Cooker Pear Oatmeal Recipe
This fall oatmeal is a perfect combination of warmth for the winter months when pears are in season. Throw the the ingredients in the slow cooker before you go to bed and wake up to a wonderful aroma and a hot breakfast.
My son absolutely loves oatmeal. He eats it several times a week for breakfast and usually two packages at a time. I have to be honest, I am not a fan of oatmeal. Funny thing is, neither is my husband. So how we produced an oatmeal loving 2 year old is beyond me! But he does and I have been looking for a solution to making my own oatmeal opposed to making the store bought kind each morning.
The BEST part of this recipe for me was that he could help me prepare it. You might recall back with the bambu post I mentioned making oatmeal in the slow cooker while his friend was visiting. It was so much fun! And so easy. Just dump all of the ingredients into the slow cooker, stir, put the lid on and you are done! A few hours later – TA DA! Oatmeal! He absolutely LOVED it! And loved the fact that he made it.
