GFDF Banana Berry Fruity Slush


Every church has a few women who are known for their cooking.  When I was a teenager, Mrs. Margaret Hoover, was one of these cherished women in our church.  You always knew the food would be good if she was involved.  This slush was one of the sides she fixed for her daughter’s wedding (she made all the food!)  It is a wonderfully refreshing way to start your morning.  It is actually best if it is still slightly frozen which makes it great to grab and go.  On top of that, it is only 3 ingredients, and it’s a great way to incorporate more fruit into your diet.

Banana Berry Fruity Slush

  • 5 bananas
  • 4.5 cups crushed pineapple
  • 4 cups frozen sliced sugared strawberries, partially thawed


Slice bananas and pour pineapple on top.  Mix in partially thawed strawberries.

Freezing Directions:

Divide among disposable cups and flash freeze. Once frozen, remove from cups and place in a gallon size freezer bag. TO SERVE: Thaw slightly and serve while still slushy.

    Feel dumb asking this but are those frozen grapes on the bottom? Thanks.

      Hi Scarlett! It’s actually the shape of the glass that looks like grapes. All this has in it is bananas, pineapple, and strawberries. :)

    Thanks, Katie. Well, I know that’s what the recipes ‘says’ but it sure looked like it was on top of grapes to me. LOL Thanks for clearing that up. :)
