Ham & Cheese Picnic Pinwheels



Picnic season is in full swing in these parts, and my kids love it when I proclaim it a picnic day.  Whether you picnic at the park, or simply on the living room floor, these Ham and Cheese Pinwheels are Picnic Perfect!

Ham and Cheese Picnic Pinwheels

  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 ounces deli ham, thinly sliced
  • favorite dipping sauce such as honey mustard or ranch (optional)


Spread cream cheese evenly over each one of the tortillas.  Top with ham, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese.  Tightly roll up and slice into rounds, approximately 3/4″.

Freezing Directions:

Follow directions above.  Flash freeze, then place in gallon freezer bag.  TO SERVE:  Remove from bag and allow to thaw.  Serve with your favorite choice of dipping sauce, such as honey mustard or ranch if desired.

    Tried these out this weekend. Wonderful as a go-along with some frozen chili we needed to get (but didn’t have enough for the two of us). I did use reduced fat cream cheese and cheddar, and low salt ham. I put the cheddar on the cream cheese (after sprinkling with a no salt seasoning mix), then the ham, before rolling. Husband approved!!
