Lisa @ Onceamonthmeals.com

  • frozen bread loaf, thawed
  • 0.925 cups italian sausage, browned
  • 1 cups mozzarella
  • 0.5 cups parmesan
  • 0.5 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 cups pizza sauce
  • 6 slices salami
  • 1 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

Let thawed bread rise for 2-3 hours, until it has doubled in size. In a bowl, combine sausage, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and pizza sauce. Roll bread loaf into 14×12″ rectangles. Line salami down the center. Spread sausage and cheese mixture over the top of the salami. Dot with butter. Fold edges of dough to the center of the filling, pinching to seal. Return loaf to baking sheet, placing it seam side down and tucking ends under. Brush the top with egg. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Freezing Directions:

Prepare per above directions. Allow to cool completely. Cut into slices, then wrap in plastic wrap. Place in gallon freezer bags, label and freeze. TO SERVE: Thaw. Reheat in microwave until warm, about 1-2 minutes.

Servings:  4
