Once A Month Meals Smart Phone App Button Tutorial

We’ve had many requests for an Once A Month Meals app for your smart phone. The best part about our site is it’s responsive (meaning no matter what device you are on, the site “responds” accordingly) so you don’t need an “app” as you can access it from anywhere! You can do everything you need from check off items on your shopping list** to view recipes as you cook.

If you would like to create an easy to find “app” button on your phone, here is a simple to follow tutorial video on how to do  just that on your iOS devices:

If you have an android device, follow the guidelines outlined here: http://mobile-pixels.com/pin-webapp-website-android-homescreen/ until we can get a custom video for OAMM made just for you too!

Take OAMM mobile! Cooking just got even easier.

**If you open your menus grocery list from your phone, you can check off items you already have at home in your pantry or that you have already purchased. Leave it open or available on your phone then head to the grocery store. As you shop, continue your clicking! (Please note, that if you check off the items on your computer or ipad then open the “app” on your phone and view those same shopping lists, the grocery list you already checked off will not have saved. The current functionality does not allow us to save across devices right now. So use the device that you are going to shop with please.)

Wow. Great tip. Such as easy way to get a grocery list at the store. Now when I asked the butcher about replacing a cut of meat in a recipe I have easy access to it right in the store. Thanks.

    Thanks! This is great! :-)

Great idea. It would be really awesome if the shopping list remembered what I’ve checked off since the idea is to shop through the whole month!

My husband is a web developer and he said you guys could use cookies to have the checked items stay checked on multiple devices. He’s been talking about making a tool to import the shopping lists for us into the app we use for shopping lists, etc. but it would be great to just have it all on your site. I’m sure he’d be willing to help you guys if you wanted to get that working?

Yes, we have discussed this with our web development team, and it’s definitely something we desire for the future. For us, we have some other priorities we are working on ahead of this, balancing what is most needed at this time. Thanks for your input! We always value feedback!
