Paleo Asian Turkey Burgers

  • 1 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 0.25 cups green onions, sliced
  • 1 Tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 0.25 cups red cabbage, shredded
  • 0.25 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 Tablespoons almond flour
  • 0.5 teaspoons pepper


In a large bowl combine ground turkey, garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, toasted sesame oil, green onions, cilantro, red cabbage, green cabbage, egg, almond flour and pepper. Form into equal sized patties. Grill over medium heat for 4 minutes per side.

Freezing Directions:

Prepare patties per above directions, but do not grill. Divide between gallon freezer storage bags, separating each patty with a piece of waxed paper. Label and freeze. TO SERVE: Thaw. Grill burgers over medium heat for 4 minutes per side.

    what is coconut aminos?? powder? where can I find it? any substitute??

      Dina – Coconut aminos are a Gluten free/Paleo alternative for soy sauce. It is in liquid form and can be found at most specialty grocery stores. You can certainly sub your choice of soy sauce.

    Made these and they are delicious! I learned the hard way that turkey burgers don’t work well on the grill. Too soft/ soupy. Cooked them on the stove. The flavor was phenomenal.
