Pillsbury Bake-Off Edition: Menu Plan Monday
Last year my bloggy friend Vanessa was lucky enough to be on the “press” side of things as a blogger for the Pillsbury Bake-Off. Can you even imagine? I was so envious of her and her taste buds that week.
Well, it is submission time again and I have not been asked to be on the “press” side of the lines but I am contemplating submitting a recipe into the contest. Wouldn’t that be so cool? To be a finalist? I am not sure I could handle the pressure though. What do you think? Should I enter a recipe? Perhaps you have a recipe you want to enter? We could do it together!
Entries are being accepted online now until April 18, 2011. One hundred finalists will be chosen to compete for their chance at the grand prize of $1,000,000 at the Peabody Orlando Hotel in Florida on March 25-27, 2012 (you have a little time to plan *wink*).
Recipes are judged for taste, appearance, creativity and consumer appeal. And since I have to do that for creating recipes for you, I am well on my way, don’t you think?
So in an effort to get my creative juices flowing, I am making this “Pillsbury Bake-Off Week” around the Callahan household. I have chosen a series of recipes that came from the new Pillsbury Bake-Off 44th Contest: 100 Winning Recipes cookbook on shelves soon. And don’t worry, one of you has a chance of winning this great cookbook as well as part of a larger prize package which includes: Pillsbury Bake-Off®gift pack that includes a Pillsbury Bake-Off® apron, recipe book, pen and notepad. Here is how!
