Slow Cooker Jerk Pork

 

Even during the warmer days of spring and summer, my slow cooker is used  just as much as in the winter.  Gone are the cold weather comfort foods, and in their place are lighter, spring inspired flavors. Pineapple and jerk seasoning to give a fresh twist to your staple pork chops and make the perfect spring time dinner.

Slow Cooker Jerk Pork

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds boneless pork chops
  • 6 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 3 Tablespoons Jerk Seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 cups lime juice
  • 0.5 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups red onion, sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons cilantro
  • 8 ounces pineapple chunks, drained

Directions:

Place all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours.  

Freezing Directions:

Place all ingredients in a gallon freezer storage bag.  Label and freeze.  TO SERVE:  Thaw in fridge.  Pour contents of bag into crock pot and cook on low 8 hours.  

Servings: 8
