Strawberry Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups marshmallows
  • 0.5 cups peanut butter
  • 0.5 cups strawberry jam
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal


Melt butter on stovetop in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and allow to melt slowly. Once melted, remove from heat and stir peanut butter and jam into marshmallows. Quickly add in cereal and stir well to combine. Pour mixture into greased baking pan. Using wax paper, press mixture down firmly and evenly. Allow to set and cool. Cut into bars and serve.

Freezing Directions:

Prepare per above directions. After bars are cut, then wrap individually in plastic wrap. Place in gallon freezer bags, label and freeze. TO SERVE: Thaw. Enjoy at room temperature!

    These are super yummy- like a crunchy pb & j. My kiddos LOVED them…. In fact we ate a bunch while they was still warm and gooey- mmmmm :) they probably won’t make it to the freezer- haha!

    There is nothing about this recipe that is healthy or an appropriate breakfast – especially for children! Come on OAMM you can do better than this!
