Update: This menu is now available in Menu Builder in addition to the Google Docs below!  As you can see we have a NEW way of getting and printing your monthly menu documents.  As part of that change, we have also changed the type/size of labels we use. The below labels in Menu Builder will print four to a page and line up with Avery 8168/5168 labels or equivalent.

Test Cooks

Each month we have some wonderful volunteers who “test” out the menu prior to publication. They do an amazing job of helping to eliminate confusion and mistakes. They may not catch everything but they sure do catch A LOT! If you are interested in test cook, feel free to volunteer.

 

Get Started

    I would have looooved to become a tester. Unfortunately, there is still no vegan menu… :`(

    I am going to veganize your September menu if I can, though. I did Once a Month cooking twice (before going vegan), and it has been a lifesaver on both counts. So I can’t wait to go at it again…

    Yay! I am so excited to hear tell of a vegan menu also! My plan was to veganize September also Isabelle! I have done OAM before, completing some of your menus with a friend, but gotten away from it. Now with me vegan, my husband no soy or legumes, two picky daughters under 4 and a baby on Purée “what’s for dinner?” Has become the biggest stress and generator of dread for me that I truly must go back to OAM! Wish me luck!

    I’m not a member yet, but I’m curious to know if there nutrition values per serving are included on each meal? Thanks! I’m lacto-ovo vegetarian, but using a bunch of dairy isn’t super good trying to lose weight for me. :)

      Hi Katie, as of right now only our diet menu has nutritional data. We’ve had great success with people inputting our recipes in the sparkpeople.com calculator to get the values they need. And there will be a vegan friendly menu coming soon with would help with the no dairy :)

    For the broccoli cheese un-casserole, do you think I could sub some cream of mushroom soup for the box of mushroom soup mix? I’m a little confused on that ingredient and how it works – thanks!

    I think there might be an error in your bean meatball recipe. I think they should be baked at 350 for 15-20 min until firm and light brown then cooled before flash freezing.

    the enchilada lasagna recipe calls for chicken and cream of chicken soup.

      Hi Melanie! If you are looking at the link for the enchilada lasagna, we make adjustments in our recipe cards for those recipes that do not strictly follow the Vegetarian standards. If you find something out of place inside of our recipe cards, let me know and I can make sure it is accurate.

    I’m really new to this, and so far, am having good luck doing my prep for my big cooking day for this menu. I hope my question isn’t too out there, but I’m wondering about the amount of quinoa to make for the Pineapple Quinoa with Scallions and Vidalia Onions. On the prep sheet it says to make 1.32c. quinoa according to package directions, and the recipe says to cook up 4c. quinoa with 3c. broth. Is the 4c. what the prep sheet amount will add up to after cooked? And does that broth just then become part of the final dish rather than part of the cooking method for the quinoa?

      Hi Christine, The 1.32 cups of dry quinoa cooked with the vegetable broth should make about 4 cups of quinoa. Good luck with your cooking day! Let us know if you have any other question!
