Very Cherry Smoothie

 

What’s not to love about smoothies? They are easy, nutritious, and oh so delicious. My daughter is going through a major cherry phase right now, so I thought I would surprise her by creating a cherry-only version of our daily morning smoothie. She not only loved the flavor but was super excited about the pink color.  This summery smoothie is packed with protein from the Greek yogurt and all of the health benefits of cherries. We love to serve our smoothies with peanut butter toast in the morning, but on days we are running late I just grab one and go!

Very Cherry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cherries, frozen
  • 3 cups Greek yogurt, vanilla
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions:

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Freezing Directions:

Divide smoothies into four quart size freezer bags, label, and freeze. To Serve: Remove from freezer 1-2 hours before serving. Serve partially thawed.
