Meal Plan Monday: June 28th, 2010

We had crazy fun!

It has been a whirlwind week for me. I knew that hubby was taking me out to dinner on Wednesday night and that his gift or what he had planned would impact my plans for the rest of the weekend. I am so hard to surprise so imagine my delight when he took me to the airport Wednesday night to pick up my best friend from Atlanta, Kaycie. I shed some tears. It was an awesome surprise. Especially since we hadn’t seen each other since my wedding 3.5 years ago. Yep, that meant she hadn’t met either of my children yet either.

Needless to say, all meal plans went out the window as we tried to have some fun and soak up as much time together before the weekend slipped away. Here is what we had for meals.

Menu Plan Monday

Monday – Impromptu Italian potluck with $5 Dinner’s Family of Balsamic Mozzarella Tomato Salad, Eggplant Focaccia, and grilled chicken. Tuesday – leftovers Wednesday – Birthday celebration at Coldwater Cafe in Troy, Ohio and then hubby surprised me by flying in a friend from Atlanta I hadn’t seen in 3.5 years! Thursday – Packed a picnic dinner to the pool. PB&J sandwiches and grapes for the toddler and Balsamic Chicken Mozzarella Wraps (Recipe coming soon) for us. Friday – Birthday celebration for myself, my brother and my nephew – we grilled out with hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, and ice cream cake. Then on to the #momblogparty thrown by Andrea and Katie. Saturday – Lunch – Pasta and veggies

Dinner – Out to dinner just Kaycie and I at Red Robin.

Sunday – Lunch – Brunch actually, we all went to First Watch for a meal together before Kaycie left town. 🙁

Dinner – Tacos, guacamole, rice
