Meal Plan Monday: November 15, 2010 (RO*TEL Giveaway)

RO*TEL Queso Dip

It is football season and RO*TEL is celebrating with it’s signature Queso Dip. We love chips and queso around these parts, we just don’t happen to be big football fans. I know, right? How is THAT? I’m not even really sure other than the fact that I think I might be married to the less than 1% of men in that populate this earth who don’t like most organized sports. Well, he makes an exception for any and everything volleyball.

RO*TEL Queso Dip & Chips

So we aren’t throwing a load of tailgates but we do frequent parties and gatherings with friends. One such gathering we take part in every week is a gathering with our fellow house church group (a small group of people that meet regularly for dinner, fellowship, Bible study and accountability). I just *happen* to orchestrate a Mexican night so that I could bring this delicious dip along for the ride. I’ve got to be honest, before this promotion I can’t say that I have ever had RO*TEL Queso Dip. I made it in 10 minutes flat with two children clinging to me and while packing the diaper bag. It was that easy. And on our way home I was pleasantly surprised when my husband complimented the dip and asked me how I had made it. That says A LOT from him because he is very picky about his cheese dip. (I know, that is another weird thing about him.) But RO*TEL doesn’t just want me to experience the joy of their queso dip, they want you to enjoy it too! Right now you they are running a Feed Their Game Face Sweepstake featuring a grand prize of free groceries for a year and 2 tickets, flight and lodging to any college football game in 2011, even a bowl game! (Go DAWGS! *ahem* *ahem*). So if you are a lover of college football, head on over and enter. But before you go there, make sure that you enter to win the RO*TEL Queso Party Pack giveaway right here! 1. I would serve the dip to our family gathering at Christmas – 12 adults, 5 teenage and 6 smaller grandchildren, and whoever else happens to stop by.

  2. I don’t think I had ever had Ro-Tel queso before moving South. I didn’t even know what RoTel was! Now it’s a staple. I like mine with sausage in it.I guess I would have to have a party for the whole church because I don’t think I even know 100 people here!

  3. I would serve the dip at my husband and I’s superbowl party – which is generally just the two of us, but I always make our favorite tailgating foods and we pig out together!

  4. I’m going to be cheesey here (ha!) and say I would serve it to my husband while we flit away a Saturday on the couch watching football. One of our favorite things to do when the “to-do” list isn’t getting in our way!

  5. i grew up with rotel and it is always in my house now. i sserve it to my family with taco night and whenver we feel like having a snack. anytime is a good time for rotel! I also use it as the tomato and heat in my chili mac casserole.

  6. What a generous giveaway! I’d love to make some queso dip for some friends and have them over my place. My fiance and I are saving money for our wedding so it would be great to be able to entertain, have people over our place and not have to spend money going out somewhere.Seasidesmitten@aol.com

  7. I just read about your website/blog from Organizing Junkie, so I had to come over and check it out. I signed up for RSS.
Thanks for reminding me about RoTel. Being a mother of 4 sons (all grown up now) we LOVE Rotel. However with them all grown up and moved out, we don’t have nearly as many football parties as we used to, so we kind of forgotten about it. Actually, we’ve been talking about having a football party (GO OHIO STATE!) and having our sons’ friends over for it, so DEFINITELY Rotel is going to be on the menu! Some of these boys I haven’t seen for 5+ years, so it is sure to be a grand party, and even more so now that I’ve been reminded about Rotel. THANK YOU! Maybe it will even be a ROSE BOWL celebration! Thanks Tricia!

  8. I would serve this to my 4 year old, with ground beef added. He saw a Rotel commercial for this dip and said he wanted that to eat!

  9. I love rotel queso dip!! Anytime I need a quick appetizer to bring, during football, basketball games, heck, I’ll make it and snack all day (not healthy, but way yummy!!)

  11. I can’t imagine how much dip it would take to serve 100 people–yowza! But my family are huge football fans, so we’d eat it while watching all the bowl games…and again for superbowl sunday!

  12. I would serve the Rotel Queso on our Christmas Day Stop in and visit Party, to our friends and family.
