Ingredients:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Place chicken, peas, applesauce and garlic salt in baking dish. Cover and bake 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Place baked chicken and peas mixture in blender and add quinoa. Blend until desired consistency is reached, adding water if necessary.

Freezing Directions:

Transfer mixture to a non-freezer gallon bag. Cut a small hole in the bottom corner of the bag and use it to pour/squeeze the purees into ice cube trays. DO NOT OVERFILL. Only fill each cube up to the sides and not overflowing the sides. Cover each tray with aluminum foil and label. Freeze for at least 24 hours before transferring to quart or gallon freezer bags for long-term storage.

  1. This looks great! I’m not clear on one thing though – is it 1 cup of cooked quinoa or is it 1 cup uncooked which then you cook it according to the package directions?

  2. I’m going to try this recipe but put it in the Crockpot… hopefully it turns out well! I featured this recipe on my blog as part of a DIY baby food post – can’t wait to try it!
