Make It Now Cooking Directions
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- In a large bowl, toss chicken wings and baking powder.
- In a smaller bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, paprika, and cayenne.
- Sprinkle seasoning over wings, tossing to cover.
- Set a rack on top of foil lined baking sheet, then place wings on rack.
- Bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes on the lower oven rack.
- Move wings to the upper oven rack, increase heat to 425 degrees, then bake another 20-30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and brush on barbecue sauce.

Hi John! Basically you are freezing the wings on a tray for about an hour so that when they are placed in a bag they won’t stick together. You can learn more about flash freezing here.
