Freeze For Later Cooking Day Directions

Prog. Pressure Cooker

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. **Due to the nature of pressure cooking there is always room for inconsistency. The times given here are based on 6 servings fresh. If you are using more servings you may need to increase your cooking time.**
  2. Add rice and package indicated amount of water to the Instant Pot.
  3. Lock lid in place and seal steam nozzle.
  4. Set on the rice setting or cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
  5. Naturally release pressure 10 minutes, then release any remaining pressure.
  6. Open lid and stir in butter until melted.
  7. Stir in the milk, flour, cheese, cooked broccoli, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Replace lid, leaving it set to keep warm and sit for 10 minutes.
  8. Let cool.
  9. Divide among indicated number of quart freezer bags. Label and freeze.
