Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Microwave ghee in a bowl.
  2. Add hot sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and sea salt. Combine thoroughly.
  3. Divide the chicken wings among the indicated number of round freezer containers.
  4. Divide the sauce among the indicated number of pint freezer bags. Tuck one pint bag inside each container of chicken. Label and freeze.

These directions help you cook or reheat this meal AFTER it's been frozen for when you are ready to eat it.

  1. Thaw: Prep from frozen
  2. **Depending on your container size/shape and your serving size, you may need to adjust cooking times given as it is based on 4 servings frozen in indicated container.**
  3. Place the sauce bag in a bowl of warm water to thaw.
  4. Place chicken wings in a large bowl, pouring 3/4 of sauce over top and stirring to coat.
  5. Add the trivet and water to the Instant Pot.
  6. Place the wings in the Instant Pot.
  7. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  8. Quick release the pressure.
  9. Remove the wings and place on a foil lined baking sheet (or wire rack for crispy wings), skin side down.
  10. Broil wings in the oven for 4-5 minutes on each side to crisp up the skin. Baste with remaining sauce once turned.
  11. Serve with additional hot wing sauce.
