Make It Now Cooking Directions
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- Soak dates and apricots in hot water for 5 minutes. Reserve water.
- In a food processor, pulse together apricots, dates, salt, and nut butter until a paste is formed.
- Add cranberries and pulse.
- Add sunflower seeds and pulse just to combine.
- If the mixture is too dry, add 1 Tablespoon of the hot water in which the dates and apricots soaked.
- Form mixture into Tablespoon sized balls.
- Roll in coconut to coat.

6 tsp is a lot of salt!? Am I reading it wrong? I did 3 tsp and it still is WAY to salty (i love salty even)
Christina – the recipe calls for .125 tsp of salt. Yes – 6 would be quite a bit!
Using the conversion chart .125 looks like it converts to 6 tsp. ??
Yes – that is correct!
You are reading the chart wrong. You are reading .125 cup = 6 teaspoons which is not the same as .125 of a teaspoon which is 1/8 of a teaspoon.
0.125 cups is equivalent to 6 tsp. but with regard to salt the recipes just calls for 0.125 teaspoons of it total. I hope that helps clarify. 🙂
