We've given our traditional Pizza Spirals a little whole foods makeover! These kid friendly morsels now include lots of nutritious veggies, ground beef and cheddar cheese all wrapped up in a homemade dough.

Directions

  1. In a skillet, warm olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, garlic, carrots, and zucchini. Saute until onions are translucent.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Evenly spread pizza sauce over dough, followed by the sauteed vegetable mix, ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, oregano, basil and sea salt.
  5. Roll the dough into a long spiral, then cut into 1” slices.
  6. Place spirals on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes.

Freezing Directions

Why would I want to freeze this?

  7. Flash freeze.
  8. Divide between indicated number of gallon freezer bags. Label and freeze.

Serving Day Directions

  1. Reheat in microwave for 30-60 seconds.
