Pizza Spirals Whole Foods Makeover

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 ¼ cups dice Onion, Red
  • 2 teaspoons mince Garlic, Cloves
  • ½ cups grate Carrot
  • ¾ cups grate Zucchini
  • 1 individual Homemade Pizza Dough
  • 1 cup Homemade Pizza Sauce
  • ¾ cups cook Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • ½ teaspoons Oregano, Dried
  • ½ teaspoons Basil, Dried
  • ½ teaspoons Sea Salt

Freezer Containers

  • 2 Gallon Freezer Bags

  • Baking Sheets
  • Parchment Papers

Directions

In a skillet, warm olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, carrots, and zucchini. Saute until onions are translucent. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Evenly spread pizza sauce over dough, followed by the sauteed vegetable mix, ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, oregano, basil and sea salt. Roll the dough into a long spiral, then cut into 1” slices using a baker's scraper or spatula. Place spirals on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake 350 for 18-20 minutes.

Freezing Directions

Divide between indicated number of gallon freezer bags. Label and freeze.

Serving Day Directions

Reheat in microwave for 30-60 seconds.
