  1. I made this but thought it tasted really bland. I love the idea of it though, so what kind of herbs/spices can I add to this recipe to really give it more flavor? Is there a recommended variety of apple? I’d like to try it again in the future.

  2. Should I thaw this before putting it in the slow cooker? I often can’t tell if I’m supposed to thaw a meal before cooking, or if I can go right from the freezer.

    1. Hi, Maggie. I’m sorry for any confusion. You’ll want to let this thaw in the fridge before cooking. Some things can be done either way, but with the slow cooker meals you would want to thaw those first.
