  1. I was wondering the same thing about almond milk. But this sounds awesome. I think my husband would love it as will I after the baby arrives!

    1. You could use another milk type product though it will significantly change the flavor. Most of the flavor comes from the coconut milk. Also keep in mind this is not the full fat coconut milk but the coconut milk beverage. Almond milk would slightly lower the WW points but will give a different overall flavor.

  2. I have a coconut allergy, so I’m not sure what coconut milk tastes like. What taste does it lose when substituting with almond? Sweetness?

    1. I have not tried it with almond milk but the coconut milk does provide sweetness. You could certainly try with the almond milk and see what you think!

  3. I have looked at Kroger and Publix, and there is *no* coconut milk in the dairy section – anyone have any suggestions as to where I could find it? I’m almost finished getting all the ingredients for next weekend’s big cook, and I really want that coconut milk! 🙂

    1. Have you tried looking in the dairy section near where the almond milk and soy milk is located? The brand I can find locally is Silk and is with all the other milk products. I can find it at various local grocery stores. If you are looking for the same flavor you could use the coconut milk from the can with a mixture of another milk but the true coconut milk is much more thick and rich than the coconut milk drink.

    2. I don’t like Silk but the almond company makes coconut milk & it doesn’t have as many additives as Silk.
Found in same section as silk. I buy it at Target.

  4. At my local Publix, the coconut milk is usually with the ethnic foods and/or the organic foods. Maybe try looking there?

    1. Real coconut milk is much more rich and contains a higher fat content. It could certainly be used but you may want to add some regular ice/water to ensure it is not too rich or thick.

  5. Has anyone tried blending it all together before you freeze it. I tried another smoothie on this site that was done that way. You just let it thaw on the cabinet then served. It worked out fine.
