Edible Ornaments

Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
In the bowl of a mixer combine butter, corn syrup, and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add 2 cups of sugar and beat until smooth. Add remaining sugar and beat until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. At this point the dough should stick together when pressed. Gather the dough into a ball and knead until smooth. To color dough: Divide dough into smaller balls. Make an indentation in the center and drop a few drops of desired color in center. Carefully knead the dough to distribute the color.
Freezing Directions:
Not recommended for this recipe.
Servings: Approximately 3 dozen ornaments
