Today’s feature for the Tweet-Up is appliances. Oh, what a treat I have in store for you! When we were dreaming up this whole idea of a Tweet-Up my brilliant husband suggested we try to find manufacturers that might be interested in having us test out appliances at the event. Specifically ones that we commonly use in our once a month cooking days. I immediately set to dreaming, researching and contacting media contacts for various small kitchen appliance manufacturers. At the live Tweet-Up we will have several samples of food processors, blenders, slow cookers, waffle makers and cutlery. We will have food products that can be placed in these appliances, by you the participant, to test them out. We will then ask for your opinions and rankings of the items. The hope is that, you the readers, can help us make recommendations on the best of the best in these categories. And that some of you can get a jump start on your Christmas Wish List! Those of you watching live stream and on Twitter, we are attempting to find a way to find a movable camera so that you can see the products in action as well. If we are not able to do that live we will use a video camera for taping segments and will post them to the website sometime following the event. And yes, we just might be giving away a few of these appliances as well. . .stay tuned! Not registered yet, then make sure you visit HERE! Here is what we will be highlighting this week:
- Part 1 – Miscellaneous Kitchen Products – these are all the things that don’t fall into other categories
- Part 2 – Kid Products – Products to help entertain your kids while you are cooking (or to help the babysitter out)
- Part 3 – Appliances – Appliances that will be available for hands-on review at the event
- Part 4 – Food Products – It is a cooking blog, of course there is going to be food for all!

Hamilton Beach
I was so impressed about the excitement and interest that Hamilton Beach had in participating in this event. They have a fine line of affordable kitchen appliances that we use regularly in our cooking days. Hello, can someone say, “durable food processor needed?” On hand the night of the event we will have the following items:
And that is not all. . .we are also giving away one of these to two lucky participants:
Breville
This is a thing of beauty. It is still in the box awaiting its debute at the Tweet-Up next week. I just can’t bring myself to “tarnish” it before then. Obviously there will be one at the event for trying out.
Tasty Baker
How cute are these? You can make pancakes, muffins, waffles and more in these little machines. We have the privilege of trying out the Pop Art Disney Princess 5-in-1 Tasty Baker
Cuisinart
There are so many great Cuisinart products to choose from, I had a hard time narrowing down my choices. But ultimately I think these items are a GREAT fit for our event. Of course, food processors are a MUST on cooking days, but this great multi-cooker will have you oohing and aahhing as well!
The Ninja Master Prep
This food processor/blender is a unique and easy to use product for chopping and blending. We will be using this appliance as part of one of the food demonstrations we will be doing as well as have it available for use by participants at the event.
