  1. Couple questions, could I use lard instead of bacon fat? Could I just cook this in the oven instead of cooking in skillet first? Thx!

    1. Hi Donna! You could use lard instead of bacon fat, but it will effect the flavor. Additionally, you can skip the browning process in the skillet if you wish, but it will effect the cooking time and won’t sear the chicken. We hope this helps!
