Hey! The mixture tastes delicious, however, the quantities are WAY off. I had enough mixture to make about 4-5 times the number of squash halves.Just looking at the ratio you might be able to see, 3/4 cup meat, 1/2 cup apple and 1/2 cup onion alone wouldn’t fit inside half of the squash.
Hi Nikki! Thanks for your feedback. In reviewing the original recipe, it seems the blog author says that the filling made for this is enough for 2 squashes, but understands that only 1 will fit in your crockpot and advises you freeze the leftover filling for another day. We’re still asking our team to take a look for any revisions that could be made to this recipe in order to better reflect that. Thank again and we hope this helps!
Hi Leighanne! We don’t currently have a version of this recipe for the Instant Pot in our system and haven’t tried it ourselves, so it’s hard to say for sure. However, if you want to give it a try we’d love to hear how it goes for you! Keep in mind apples will cook in the Instant Pot much faster than in a slow cooker, so you may want to precook them for less time during the prep stage.

Anyway to cook this in instant pot? I don’t want to wait 4 hours.
