I’m so confused…this recipe says it’s for 6 servings, but the cooking instructions say it’s intended for 4 servings, and it’s divided into two containers. Is the full recipe (both containers) intended for 6 or 4? And are the cooking instructions intended for both containers, or just one?
Hi Janelle, You can fit 4 servings into a freezer container for the Instant Pot. The default serving size on this recipe is 6, so it has you divide it into 2 containers since 4 will only fit in 1 container (in this recipe there are 3 servings in each container). If you want 4 servings for this recipe and have all the ingredients scale, just simply add it to your custom menu and download your menu documents. The cooking time on the recipe is listed for 1 container, not both. The general rule is for every 2 increases in serving size, add 2-5 minutes to your cook time. I hope this helps. Please feel free to jump in our chat if you have more questions. ~OAMM
Does the beef in this recipe need to be cut up into pieces or does an entire roast get used? The directions are confusing. Thanks
The beef is cut into strips, prepping the night before, then those strips are divided into the containers. Let us know if you have any further questions.
can you recommend a paleo substitute for brown sugar? will maple syrup work?
Yes, maple syrup should be fine.
