Join the discussionI’ve made this multiple times now. I add all ingredients together, I don’t keep the sauce separate, I figure let the meat and veggies marinate. I only cook for 10 minutes, 15 made the beef a bit dry. 10 was absolutely perfect. I use the little rack and put a pot of rice to cook on top of the meal, my husband is staying away from bread right now. This last time he stirred the cream cheese into the meal in the IP and then we had it over rice. It was amazing. Of course, it is great with fresh baked rolls as well 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your adaptations! Your version sounds delicious!
So. Can cream cheese and Cheddar cheese be successfully frozen? I’d love to have them allocated and out of sight from my cheese loving family.
Also…any way to modify this one for a slow cooker or stove top?
Yes! Both types of cheese can be frozen successfully as part of a dish, and shredded cheese also freezes really well on its own. We have a slow cooker cheese steak recipe similar to this one, which you can find here: https://onceamonthmeals.com/recipes/slow-cooker-philly-cheese-steak-dump-and-go-dinner/
