Web page this came from specifies this is for a thawed chicken not frozen. Uses the same cook time. Just want to clarify which is the case for the recipe here.
This time would work for the smaller range of chicken specified – but if you are using a larger one (more toward the 5 pound) you should probably increase the cook time up closer to 50 minutes. Negative reports did not come back from test cooks on this recipe but the Instant Pot technology is always changing and can play a factor in cook times. In theory – the time that would be increasing is the time it takes to come to pressure.
