  1. Love the idea of adding low histamine recipes. This sounds yummy!! Bummer that the slow cooking of the chicken allows for hours of histamine development! Any protein that is heated starts to develop histamine and continues to do so until it is frozen. This would be great on the stovetop or in a pressure cooker. Hopefully I can try one or both ways.

    1. Thanks for your feedback, Melanie. I just replied to your email, as well. As I said there, this is a new menu we are actively learning about now. Please be patient with us as we work out the kinks!

  2. I agree this was very soupy from frozen and I followed it to a T based on previous comments. Really tasty though. My broth was homemade so I added a little extra salt which it needed. With a little tweaking I think we’ll put this one into the fall rotation 🙂

    1. Nicole did you cook this from frozen? You could try thawing, draining some of the liquid from the bag, then adding to your slow cooker OR use a little less liquid in the assembly. Glad you enjoyed it so much though!

      1. Yes I used the instant pot recipe. I will cut the liquid next time. We always have apples and frozen cherries here in Ontario and the savory flavour combination was delicious!

  3. Great flavors but a bit bland for me! I ended up adding way more of the herbs to this. I decided to cook the rice separately and served the chicken stew over it.
