Slow Cooker Apple Bourbon Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds boneless pork chops
  • 1 teaspoons sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons pepper
  • 1.5 cups granny smith apples, diced
  • 6 Tablespoons bourbon (substitute: 2 teaspoons vanilla extract plus 6 teaspoons water for each Tablespoon of bourbon.)
  • 0.33 cups sucanat
  • 0.5 cups applesauce
  • 1 Tablespoons honey
  • 1 Tablespoons worchestershire

Directions:

Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Place pork chops in the bottom of slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine apples, bourbon, sucanat, applesauce, honey, and worchestershire. Pour glaze over the chops. Cook on low for 4 hours.

Freezing Directions:

Season pork chops with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine apples, bourbon, sucanet, applesauce, honey, and worchestershire. Divide meat and sauce among gallon freezer bags. Label and freeze. TO SERVE: Thaw. Cook in slow cooker on low for 4 hours.

    With the freezing instructions – do you pour the sauce on top of the pork chops and freeze them in the same bag, or do you freeze the pork chops separate from the sauce?

    Lisa How do I know which menu the recipe comes from? I just searched pork chops and this recipe comes up but I don’t see how to find which menu.
