Somehow I seem to have a very full fridge this week, even though I still need to go grocery shopping. So our meals this week will be using many items that we already have on hand in an effort to clean out the fridge and cut down on wasted food.
For my toddler lunches this week I will be using many of the recipes from the most recent 18+ month toddler menu. Friday night I’m planning on having a date night at home with my husband. We’ve only tried this once before and it worked reasonably well. The plan is to feed the kids an early dinner, do the cleanup, bath, bedtime routine a little early, then enjoy a special meal with just the two of us.
I find that its hard to get out with young children at home and this is a good way to stay connected as a couple. The meal for that evening is yet to be determined (waiting for requests from my hubby), but it will be something special and a little out of the ordinary. I can’t wait!
