Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil #1, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Divide the flank steak and marinade among the indicated number of freezer bags.
  3. Label and freeze.

Make From Frozen Serving Day Directions

These directions help you cook or reheat this meal AFTER it's been frozen for when you are ready to eat it.

  1. Thaw: In fridge
  2. Over medium-high heat, warm olive oil #2 in a large skillet.
  3. Once the oil is hot, place the steak in the skillet and allow to cook for 6-7 minutes without disturbing.
  4. Flip the steaks over and cook for another 5-8 minutes depending on the thickness of your steak. Cook to desired doneness. (Flank steak is most tender at medium rare, or 135 degrees).
  5. Allow to set 10 minutes before slicing.
