<p>Try out this flavorful alternative to a freezer aisle standby. This version of chicken cordon bleu is coated with Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and stuffed with two varieties of cheese.</p>

  • 1 individual beat Egg
  • 1 1/2 cups Bread Crumbs, Italian
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 pounds Chicken, Boneless Breasts
  • 4 individual Swiss Cheese, Sliced
  • 4 individual American Cheese, Slices
  • 4 ounces Deli Ham, Sliced

  1. Place eggs in a bowl for egg wash.
  2. Combine bread crumbs, parmesan, Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, garlic powder and onion powder in a flat bowl.
  3. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make them thinner. Then, wrap each breast in plastic wrap and flatten using a meat mallet.
  4. On top of each chicken breast, layer swiss cheese, american cheese and deli ham.
  5. Roll chicken up tightly.
  6. Dip rolled chicken into egg wash, then place in breadcrumb bowl. Cover outside of chicken with breadcrumbs, using your hands if necessary.
  7. Place breaded chicken seam side down into indicated number of greased baking pans.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
