These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Meanwhile, layer one half of each tortilla with 2 Tablespoons steak, 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, 2 Tablespoons black beans, 2 Tablespoons cooked rice, and 1 Tablespoon salsa.
  3. Fold in half and carefully place in hot oil. Cook 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Flip with a spatula and cook another 2-3 minutes or until browned and cheese is melted.
  5. Remove to a plate or wire rack to cool.
  6. Repeat until all quesadillas have been cooked.
  7. Slice into triangles and serve with guacamole.

  1. I love this idea, but have you happened to have copycat’ed the regular Fire Grilled Steak recipe too? I love their pesto-like sauce flavor but my own attempts haven’t quite hit the mark.
