Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, egg, egg whites, bread crumbs, ketchup #1, brown sugar #1, salt, pepper, soy sauce #1, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and garlic with hands.
  2. Form into loaves.
  3. In small mixing bowl, mix soy sauce #2, brown sugar #2, bbq sauce, and ketchup #2.
  4. Bake at 350F for 1 hour 20 minutes.
  5. Remove meatloaf, increase temperature to 400F.
  6. Brush glaze on top and sides of meatloaf.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes more.
  8. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes.

  1. Since I tried this a few weeks ago, my husband and son have requested it every week. Never without one in our freezer. Thanks for sharing this and the many great recipes on your site.

        1. Hi Lori, We don’t have a Slow Cooker adaption for this recipe. You may try this recipe for some advice on cook times.

    1. Barbara, if you read this recipes cooking directions, you’ll see that you’ll need those ingredients at 2 different points for 2 different parts of the recipe: 1) to mix in with the ground beef, 2) to then to make the sauce. Does that make sense? We are always here and happy to help!

  2. My family loves this, and it smelled so good when my husband was eating leftovers that several people asked for the recipe. In fact, when I made this for 8 people my family of 5 finished the whole thing in one meal!!!
