Make It Now Cooking Directions
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- Place lentils, peas, pasta, rice, and onion soup mix into a large airtight container or jar. Store at room temperature until serving day.
Freeze For Later Cooking Directions
These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).
Why would I want to freeze this?
- Combine lentils, peas, pasta, rice, and onion soup mix into a large airtight container or jar.
- Use in recipes as directed. Store in airtight container. To make stew: Brown one pound of desired meat in a large dutch oven. Add 1 cup stew mix, 15 ounces diced tomatoes and 9 cups of beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 30-45 mins or until lentils are soft.
