Join the discussionWould you be able to cook this first then freeze the meat?
Hi Lindsey, yes you can cook it first. When you reheat it, I would add some water or broth to the meat so it doesn’t dry out.
The recipe seems to have disappeared on me. I’m only seeing a picture. Any way of reposting?
Oh, that’s so weird! If I can’t get it to correct, I’ll link you to the new post in a bit. Sorry about that.
Ok, it should be working again on your side. Let me know if you still can’t see it.
Do all three pounds of meat go into one freezer bag or is this intended for larger meals? It’s just my husband & I so I’m not sure how to divide this up.
If you are just serving you and your husband, you could split it between two or three freezer bags. The original recipe serves 6 people so you would have a lot of leftovers if not. Enjoy!
Can I use the same amount (lbs) of chicken instead of pork?
Absolutely!
So this recipe is for 2 different times?
This recipe will serve 6 people 1x. Recipes being doubled is a members-only feature.
Can I use chicken instead
You definitely can…I have made that swap before myself, and it turned out well!
