Why would I want to freeze this?
- Soak skewers in water for 30 minutes.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Combine all ingredients except figs in a bowl until well-combined.
- Place chicken in bowl and toss until it is covered with spice mixture.
- Divide chicken among 2/3 of skewers.
- Cut figs in half. Divide figs among other 1/3 of skewers (for every 1 fig skewer there should be 2 chicken skewers).
- Divide skewers among indicated number of gallon freezer bags, label, and freeze.
Make From Frozen Serving Day Directions
These directions help you cook or reheat this meal AFTER it's been frozen for when you are ready to eat it.
- Thaw: In fridge
- Rub oil over grill.
- Grill chicken skewers for 5 minutes on each side, for a total of 20 minutes. When there is 5 minutes left, place fig skewers on grill.
