Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Pulse nuts in a food processor until they are in small pieces. Some larger pieces may remain.
  2. Add the dates, bananas, cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Process until the mixture comes together in one large ball. You may need to add a few more dates to get the mixture to come together.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and pulse a few times to incorporate.
  4. Pinch off a small bit of mixture and roll it into a ball about the size of a small ping pong ball.
  5. Place balls on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Flash freeze.
  6. Divide among the indicated number of freezer bags.
  7. Seal, label and freeze.
