Freeze For Later Cooking Directions
These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).
Why would I want to freeze this?
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and beat well.
- Add in peanut butter #1 and vanilla.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Stir the dry ingredients and oats into the creamed mixture.
- Spread into a greased baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- Once the cookie base is done baking immediately sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips.
- Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the top.
- Combine the powdered sugar, peanut butter #2, and half of the milk to make a thin icing. Add more milk as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
- Drizzle the peanut butter icing over the melted chocolate.
- Let cool.
- Cut into small squares or "fingers".
- Flash freeze to harden the frosting.
- Divide among the indicated number of freezer bags. Label and freeze.
