Make It Now Cooking Directions
Oven Cook
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter #1 for 30 seconds.
- Add the brown sugar and baking soda, beating until combined.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla #1 until combined.
- Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer, stirring in any remaining flour.
- Stir in the rolled oats. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the butter #2, chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk.
- Cook until chocolate melts, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla #2.
- Press about 2/3 of the oat mixture into the bottom of one ungreased large cookie sheet per 24 servings.
- Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the oat mixture.
- Dollop the remaining oat mixture on the top of the filling.
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until top is lightly browned.
- Cool and cut into bars.
