Chocolate Revel Bars

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups soften Butter #1
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 individual Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla #1
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour, All-Purpose
  • 3 cups Rolled Oats, Quick Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons soften Butter #2
  • 1 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips, Semisweet
  • 1 1/4 cups Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla #2

Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter #1 for 30 seconds.
  2. Add the brown sugar and baking soda, beating until combined.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla #1 until combined.
  4. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer, stirring in any remaining flour.
  5. Stir in the rolled oats. Set aside.
  6. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the butter #2, chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk.
  7. Cook until chocolate melts, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla #2.
  9. Press about 2/3 of the oat mixture into the bottom of one ungreased large cookie sheet per 24 servings.
  10. Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the oat mixture.
  11. Dollop the remaining oat mixture on the top of the filling.
  12. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until top is lightly browned.
  13. Cool and cut into bars.
