Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a food processor, combine the almond flour and figs until finely chopped.
  2. Add the dates and process until mixed well.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients, except the rolled oats, and pulse several times to combine, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and fold in the oats.
  5. Firm and evenly press the mixture into a parchment lined baking pan.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Lift the bars from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into individual servings.
  8. Wrap each serving in plastic wrap and divide among the indicated number of freezer bags. Label and freeze.
