<p>Homemade snack bars using almonds and almond butter with sweetness of apricots and cranberries to meet your protein needs.</p>

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 cups Almonds, Sliced
  • 1/4 cups Sunflower Seeds, Raw
  • 1 tablespoon Flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 cup Multigrain Crunch Cereal
  • 1/3 cups Currants, Dried
  • 1/3 cups dice Apricot, Dried
  • 1/3 cups Cranberries, Dried
  • 1/4 cups Almond Butter
  • 1/2 cups Turbinado Sugar
  • 1/4 cups Honey
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoons Salt

Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Spread oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds and sesame seeds on a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir contents and then continue baking another 10 minutes or until the oats are lightly toasted and the nuts are fragrant.
  4. Remove seeds/nuts from oven. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in cereal, currants, apricots and dried cranberries.
  5. In a saucepan, combine nut butter, sugar, honey, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
  6. Heat mixture over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, 2-5 minutes, or until the mixture bubbles lightly.
  7. Immediately pour the seed/nut butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix together thoroughly.
  8. Transfer to one greased 8-inch-square pan per 8 servings and press the mixture down firmly to make an even layer.
  9. Refrigerate until firm or about 30 minutes.
  10. Cut into equal sized bars.
