Make It Now Cooking Directions

Oven Cook

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Heat milk in the microwave.
  2. Combine warm milk, melted butter #1, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Sprinkle in yeast and let stand about 10 minutes. The yeast should be bubbly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add milk/yeast mixture and stir well to combine.
  6. Place bowl in a warm place, cover with a clean towel, and allow to rise–about an hour.
  7. Punch down dough, lightly flour your work surface, and turn dough out onto surface.
  8. Divide dough in half, roll out on floured surface, and knead in a bit more flour if dough is too sticky.
  9. Shape into golf-ball size rolls and divide among the indicated number of greased 9×13 baking dishes.
  10. Cover and let rise in warm place, until doubled in size.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Brush with melted butter #2 and enjoy.
