<p>A real foods makeover of one of our family's favorite OAMM breakfast recipes. This yogurt parfait is easy to adapt with seasonal fruit and is great on the go.</p>

  • 1 tablespoon peel and mince Ginger, Fresh
  • 4 teaspoons Maple Syrup #1
  • 2 cups dice Pear
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup #2
  • 1/2 teaspoons juice Lemon

  1. In a medium bowl mix together the yogurt, ginger root, and maple syrup #1.
  2. In another bowl mix together the pears, cinnamon, maple syrup #2 and lemon juice until the pears are well coated.
  3. In a small plastic container or cup put a 1/2 cup of the yogurt mixture, followed by a 1/2 cup of pear mixture. Repeat.

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a medium bowl mix together the yogurt, ginger root, and maple syrup #1.
  2. In another bowl mix together the pears, cinnamon, maple syrup #2 and lemon juice until the pears are well coated.
  3. Divide yogurt into half of indicated number of pint freezer bags.
  4. Divide pear mixture into remaining half of pint freezer bags.
  5. Label bags, tape together, and lay flat to freeze.
