Make It Now Cooking Directions

Stove Cook

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Combine dairy free butter, honey and brown sugar and melt in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Once bubbling, turn to low heat and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Remove from heat.

  1. Loved the recipe! Trying to find sweet treats that are healthier than packaged store bought. Crossing my fingers my picky guy likes them. If not, I’ll end up eating the whole pan.:)

    1. a jelly roll pan is a cookie sheet with edges. 🙂 So what you have will likely work. A 9×13 pan can work as well.

  2. I made these tonight and they wont stay together, just crumbles. Any idea why? I did use low fat margarine, maybe thats why?

    1. Hi Julie! I hope you will give these another try. If you need to increase the honey a bit to offset the low fat margarine–you might need to play around with it. Low fat margarine sometimes doesn’t act the same way in cooking as other varieties.

    1. Hi Tishy, food that is frozen is safe indefinitely per USDA regulations. However for taste, we say pastries last 4-6 months taste wise, so I would go with that time range for these granola bars. Hope this helps! ~OAMM
