Join the discussionThis looks delicious. I am so thrilled to find any recipes that my kiddos can have– multiple multiple allergies. Will probably have to omit the parsley, but everything else works.
Now, I just hope the picky kids will like it– I’m quite sure the adults will(-:
How did you get your pesto to look so fresh and green after cooking your chicken? Mine came out brown and I made it fresh 3 minutes before I put it in the crockpot?
You might try to reserve a little and spread on top just before serving. This might help with the “brown” color. I hope you enjoyed it!
How much pesto and ranch would you use if you bought it and didn’t make it?
Great question! I have updated the post to reflect 1/2 cup of pesto and 2 Tablespoon dry ranch mix.
Where is the dairy free pesto recipe? Thanks!

Yes, sorry…we now link to a pre-made dairy free pesto in the ingredients. If you would like to make one yourself, you can try this recipe: https://againstallgrain.com/2013/04/05/dairy-free-pesto-sauce/
