Oven Cook
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- Using parchment paper, line a large rimmed baking sheet or a shallow baking dish.
- Toss the crisp rice cereal, oats, almonds and pepitas in a large bowl.
- Mix the sugar and water together in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
- Stir in the oil, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
- Pour the liquid over the oat mixture and stir well.
- Spread mixture onto prepared cookie sheet, trying to arrange in a single layer.
- Bake at 200 degrees for 1.5 hours or until granola is dry to touch.
- Cool completely.
- Serve in a bowl, topped with unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
