Gluten Free Dairy Free Sweet and Tangy BBQ Chicken

Ingredients

4 servings
  • ½ cups Applesauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Maple Syrup
  • ¼ cups dice Strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • ½ tablespoons mince Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce, Gluten-Free
  • 2 pounds Chicken, Boneless Breasts

Freezer Containers

  • 1 Gallon Freezer Bag

Directions

In a medium bowl combine applesauce, ketchup, maple syrup, strawberries, balsamic vinegar, chipotle pepper and soy sauce. Place chicken breasts in gallon bag and pour sauce over the top of chicken. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Grill over medium high heat for 7-8 minutes on each side, until chicken is cooked through.

Freezing Directions

In a medium bowl combine applesauce, ketchup, maple syrup, strawberries, balsamic vinegar, chipotle pepper and soy sauce. Divide chicken between indicated number of gallon freezer bags. Divide sauce and pour evenly over chicken in gallon freezer bags. Label and freeze.

Serving Day Directions

Grill over medium high heat for 7-8 minutes on each side, until chicken is cooked through.
